The Bedfordshire District Striking Contest was held at Bletsoe on Saturday 6th June 2015 starting at 5pm. This was the first major activity to take place since the Bletsoe bells have been restored.
Eight teams took part, three ringing rounds and five ringing a method. The judges were Bob and Elizabeth Churchill of Husborne Crawley and the organiser was Andrew Dennison. Bletsoe were the hosts and the event was well attended with approx. 60 guests. I believe we managed to provide plenty of food including sandwiches, savouries and cakes along with countless cups of tea and coffee! Thank you to all who donated to our bell fund and also many thanks to all who helped with the refreshments.
